ASME B16.9 Carbon Steel Conc Reducer, A234 WPB, 3 Inch X 2 Inch, SCH 40
Reducer, used for connection between two pipes of different diameters. According to different shapes, it can be divided into two types: concentric reducer and eccentric reducer.
Function of concentric reducer:
Concentric reducer is, its connection form is directly to the reducer and steel pipe butt welding, steel hot press molding or forging formed. Classification: pushing, pressing, forging. Corresponding to concentric reducers are eccentric reducers made of carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel.
Concentric reducer is generally used to connect, for example, the concentric reducer at the outlet of centrifugal pump is to connect the pipeline with the inlet and outlet of the pump. The inlet is generally larger and smaller, and the outlet is generally smaller.
Concentric reducer mainly has the following features:
1. When the flow rate of fluid in the pipeline changes, such as increase or decrease, when the flow rate requirement changes little, the variable diameter pipe should be used.
2. Enter the inlet of the pump to prevent cavitation.
3. In order to match with the connector of instrument, such as flowmeter and regulating valve, reducer is also used.
